Dragon Ball GT: Final Bout Patch Brings Back Japanese Intro

PlayStation Games Romhacks

A new fan patch replaces the underwhelming North American intro of Dragon Ball GT: Final Bout with the original Japanese animated sequence. Widely praised for its energy and style, the Japanese intro has remained a favorite among fans for decades.

While the North American version offers English text and voice acting, many feel it lost some of the game’s charm due to its altered opening. The Japanese and European releases kept the iconic intro, but the European version comes with a trade-off.

The European release runs at 50Hz, the standard for PAL regions. This leads to slower gameplay and less fluid animations. In contrast, the North American release runs at 60Hz, offering smoother performance.
