Infidelity (@infidelity_nes), the famous NES‑to‑SNES rom‑hacker, has officially revealed the three titles he’ll be porting to SNES hardware later in 2025: Super C, Contra Force, and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. The announcement also mentions that he is revisiting one of his earlier ports to improve it further.
Infidelity’s Background
Infidelity has been active in the ROM hacking scene since around 2004 and began porting NES games to SNES hardware around 2021. Some of his best-known releases include:
- The Legend of Zelda
- Mega Man II
- Mega Man IV
- Metroid
- Contra
These ports aren’t just simple conversions, they are rebuilt to run natively on SNES hardware with improved performance, smoother scrolling, and (in some cases) MSU-1 audio support for enhanced soundtracks. Infidelity does all of this through low-level hex editing, often without the use of assemblers, making his work technically impressive and highly respected within the community.
