Nintendo has announced that the original Chibi-Robo! will be added to the Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack GameCube library on August 21, 2025.
Originally released for the GameCube in 2005 (Japan) and 2006 (North America), Chibi-Robo! puts players in the role of a small household robot tasked with cleaning, helping a family, and solving quirky problems around the home. The title quickly became a cult favorite for its charm, unusual premise, and mix of exploration and puzzle-solving.
This marks the first time the original version has been made available outside of the GameCube, aside from a “New Play Control!” Wii port that was released exclusively in Japan.
The GameCube library is currently exclusive to the Nintendo Switch 2 and requires an active Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack membership.
