Atari and Limited Run Games are bringing the bobcat back with Bubsy in The Purrfect Collection, releasing digitally on September 9 2025 for Nintendo Switch PlayStation 5 Xbox Series X S and PC.
As a kid I grew up with the SNES version of Bubsy in Claws Encounters of the Furred Kind so seeing it return in this collection feels like a nostalgic trip back to my gaming childhood.
The compilation includes:
- Bubsy in Claws Encounters of the Furred Kind on SNES Genesis Mega Drive and Super Famicom
- Bubsy II on SNES Genesis Mega Drive and Game Boy
- Bubsy in Fractured Furry Tales on Atari Jaguar
- Bubsy 3D on PlayStation
- Bubsy 3D Refurbished Edition with widescreen and analog controls
Built using the Carbon Engine the collection adds modern features such as save states rewind and cheat support.
Extras include original art and manuals, interviews, a soundtrack player and even the cartoon pilot. Physical editions ranging from Standard to the Impawsible Edition are also available for pre-order from Limited Run Games.
Why am I tempted by this?
