Developer sonik_br has released a new set of adapters that allow USB controllers to be used on classic consoles. The project is based on the Raspberry Pi Pico (RP2040) and supports SNES, Mega Drive, Saturn, and PlayStation 1/2.

The SNES version even includes rumble support, making it possible to enjoy modern feedback on original hardware. This opens up new ways to experience games and even fan-made ROM hacks on real consoles with USB gamepads or fightsticks.

The firmware and wiring details are available on GitHub for those who want to build their own adapters.
