AYN has revealed its next steps in the handheld gaming market with the first look at the AYN Thor and confirmation that the long-awaited Odin 3 is in development.
AYN Thor
The Thor is AYN’s first dual-screen clamshell handheld running Android. Early teasers show a design with a main display on the top half and a smaller secondary screen below, making it reminiscent of the Nintendo DS and the recently announced AYANEO Pocket DS.
Key details spotted in the teaser:
- Active cooling for sustained performance.
- A Qualcomm Snapdragon chipset (likely from the G3 or G3x Gen 2 family).
- Inset thumbsticks, a USB-C port, headphone jack, and front SD card slot cover.
AYN has not released full specifications or pricing yet, but speculation places Thor in the $400 range, targeting mid-to-high-end Android handhelds. The dual-screen format suggests it could be a compact sibling to Odin 3, much like the Odin 2 Mini was to the Odin 2.
AYN Odin 3
Alongside Thor, AYN officially confirmed the Odin 3—the follow-up to the popular Odin 2. No images or specs have been shown yet, but AYN has made clear that the Odin 3 will, like Thor, run on Android.
Given the success of Odin 2, the community expects Odin 3 to focus on refinements and performance gains while keeping the ergonomic design that made the Odin line popular among retro and modern handheld fans.

Both devices are still in the teaser phase, but AYN’s announcements signal a dual strategy:
- Thor explores new ground with a foldable dual-screen form factor.
- Odin 3 continues the established flagship line with expected improvements.
More details on specs, pricing, and release dates are expected in the coming months.
