Win a Reflex Adapt by MiSTer Addons – Metal Game Solid Giveaway no 4 – CLOSED

MiSTer FPGA Misc

We are now starting Metal Game Solid Giveaway Number 4. Win yourself a brand new Reflex Adapt courtesy of MiSTer Addons. This is a giveaway I’m particularly fond of as I am a big fan of this product. You can use this with the MiSTer FPGA as well as the PC (Windows and Linux), with a variety of original controllers (SNES, MD, SMS, 3DO, full list below). For normal controller use, I prefer the Reflex Adapt over SNAC/SNAX, because it allows you to use any controller with any core as well as allowing me to control the menu. Both have their uses, advantages, and disadvantages, for example SNAC/SNAX lets you use original peripherals whereas the Reflex Adapt cannot do as many. In a nutshell both are excellent choices all dependant on your particular use case.

Entry is simple

  1. I’d use it first for an N64 controller because that controller seems to be very … unique. Even the new 8bitdo controller is a little iffy with its analog range. Might as well just use the OG for those games.

  2. I think I might try it initially with my Saturn 3D Control Pad and the MiSTer Saturn core.

  3. I’d dig out the NegCon from the garage, just to try it. Then probably stick one of the SNES controllers in 🙂

  4. I would use my favorite third-party Saturn pad with PC and MiSTer for Saturn, CPS1/2, and Genesis.

  5. Gotta break it in with N64—and share on any Analogue 3D delay posts 😉

  6. I’d probably have to use the Saturn pad first. such a great controller!

  7. I’d have to go with the SNES Honey Bee SF-3 controller as it was my favourite growing up!

  8. Gotta go with the Saturn controller first! I’ve always felt like 2 of my face buttons are missing ever since all the controllers went with 4…

  9. I’d like to play with the OG SNES Famicon controller, I only play with the 8bit do one, which is amazing, but not quite the same thing, specially the triggers

  10. I’d buy a N64 controller for that because N64 will profit most from its “own” controller.

  11. I bought an Atari Jaguar controller a couple of months ago and I have been waiting to pick up a Reflex with a couple of different adapters. Winning this would be amazing, I’d be playing the Jaguar core using the Jaguar controller and sinking alot of tike into AvP!

  12. Krikz joyzz 6 button megadrive controller, by far my favourite retro controller

  13. N64 easy, out of all the controllers it’s the one that feels the most necessary to match the core.

  14. I would use my Xbox pc controller to emulate snes without latency. pretty cool.

  15. My upgraded midnight blue N64 controller with a complete set of drumstix576 Galaxy buttons and the rocker gaming/tao renaissance 64 steel bowl and tao v4 stick!

  16. I would start with Saturn controllers on Saturn core, I still have the legendary 6 button d pad controller and the analogue one as well.. This would be an amazing device to have.

  17. I would use my 3DO controller first as this amazing bit of kit is the first to support it!!

  18. I always have issue with the sega saturn so I for sure would be using it for the saturn

  19. I would love to use a N64 controller specially with the latest recompilations being released
