Originally released in 1979 for the Apple II, Akalabeth was the first commercially released CRPG from Lord British (Richard Garriott) and served as something of a prototype for Ultima (it’s often referred to as “Ultima 0”).
A physical boxed release can now be purchased at Atari Age, and includes the cartridge, controller overlays, manual, 10×14 poster of the cover art, and a soundtrack CD featuring music newly composed for this version.
