Bitfunx GCMCE Turns MicroSD Into Massive GameCube Memory Cards

GameCube

The new Bitfunx GCMCE is here, offering expanded memory card functionality for the Nintendo GameCube.

With support for MicroSD cards between 1 GB and 500 GB, this device lets you create virtual memory cards with multiple card sizes (from 59 blocks/0.5 MB up to 1019 blocks/8 MB). It also includes features like Card Restore to boot directly into your last used card, Game2Folder Mapping for handling games that share save data, and a customizable splash screen. A generated settings file allows tweaks directly from your computer, handy when managing multiple GCMCE devices on one SD card.

The GCMCE is fully compatible with Swiss homebrew software and the FlippyBoot ODE, and it includes Game ID detection so saves always end up where they belong.

The price is $29.99 USD via the Bitfunx store, with pre-orders now open. Shipping kicks off on October 16, so mark your calendars if you don’t want to miss out.
