FPGA core developer wickerwaka is well known for his excellent work. His latest project has been the Taito F2 core, which also supports many of the F1 games.
The latest version of the core, which is currently in beta, supports the following additional games:
Ah Eikou no Koshien
This is a baseball game that’s tricky to master, especially when batting. From my initial play, I got the impression that once you’ve learned a bit of the game, it would become a lot more fun, especially with a second player. The animations in this game are dope, and if you stand in the wrong place, the baseball will hit you in your own balls.
Football Champ – Euro Football Champ
This is pure magic. I went in blind and wasn’t disappointed in the slightest. This game was just fast and furious fun and has aged really well. It honestly must be played to be believed. Just like the baseball game, this football game will definitely be a grand experience when playing against another person. The zoom effects, the level of detail, and the goal-scoring celebrations will keep you amazed throughout your credit.
