A Legend Returns! Battle Arena Toshinden Games Are FINALLY Coming to Modern Consoles!

Games PlayStation

Well, this came as a bit of a surprise, but do you remember the Battle Arena Toshinden games? Or as we used to simply call them, “Toshinden“. I remember seeing the first game running on the original PlayStation back in 1995 and was instantly attracted to it, as I was, and still am, a big fighting games fan. The 3D graphics just rocked. I recall not just myself but everyone discovering Tekken, which ended up taking the PlayStation 3D fighting crown (with an honourable mention to Bloody Roar too).

The good news is that Edia will be bringing these back to modern consoles in the future as a collection of all three games. It’s scheduled for release between fiscal years 2026 and 2027, so it’s still some time away. It’s definitely something that is welcome.

  1. The only good one is strangely the Game Boy version. It’s a surprisingly competent 2D fighter with fun unlockables. Sounds like it won’t be included, though.
