Super Mario World Redone: 40 Years of Mario Edition

Romhacks Games SNES

A brand new version of Super Mario World Redone has been released to celebrate four decades of Mario adventures, bringing a major round of updates and polish to Nintendo’s 16-bit classic.

Version 2.6 introduces several enhancements, including upgraded visuals that take full advantage of the Super Nintendo’s color palette, new playable characters with unique abilities, five hidden levels, and harder boss battles. Players can also expect features inspired by Super Mario Advance 2, such as new sound effects and enemies from the special world.

Beyond that, the update refines the experience further, Luigi now has distinct physics, Toad joins the playable roster, and character switching is instant when pressing L or R on the world map. Numerous bugs have been fixed, graphics have been updated across every map, and the game now autosaves with 98 exits total.

Developed by Dark Prince, this version represents the most complete and feature-rich iteration of Super Mario World Redone yet, a fitting tribute to 40 years of Mario history.
