Metalgun Slinger Receives a New, Fully Retranslated English Patch

Romhacks Game Boy Advance Games

Metalgun Slinger, the 2002 Game Boy Advance action platformer from Open Sesame and Atmark, has received a brand new English retranslation patch. The game never left Japan, but over the years it picked up a small following thanks to its stylish Western setting and a combat system built around chaining projectile shots with slick acrobatic moves.

This new patch builds on the earlier fan translation by KBLO, who handled all of the original hacking work. The text itself has now been retranslated from scratch, staying faithful to the Japanese script while keeping the phrasing natural and character-appropriate. Despite the tight GBA character limits, all in-game dialogue is now fully grammatical and much clearer than before.
