Taki Udon has provided a significant update on the SuperStationOne, a highly anticipated MiSTer FPGA based PlayStation inspired console. This update arrives during a period of intense activity in the FPGA gaming market, following the launch of the Analogue 3D and new reveals regarding the Mod Retro M64. Despite previous setbacks, the latest evidence from Taki’s Discord server indicates that the project has moved into a critical phase of manufacturing and assembly.
Visual evidence confirms that the transparent blue model will be the first version to enter production. Newly released images showcase the final physical shells and fully assembled Printed Circuit Boards (PCBs). A unique detail revealed in the hardware design is the inclusion of the development team’s signatures directly on the PCB, which should be visible through the transparent casing. These boards have been photographed in large batches, suggesting they are currently undergoing quality assurance testing.
In addition to the internal hardware, the update provided a glimpse into the logistics and packaging of the device. Images shared by Taki Udon show a large volume of console cases in protective bags and stacks of retail boxes, signaling that the project is nearing the shipping stage. While the timing is tight for a release before the end of 2025, the current progress suggests that customers can likely expect to receive their units in early 2026.
The update has been met with enthusiasm within the FPGA gaming community, as it confirms that the SuperStationOne is moving along in mass production. While delays are common in the retro gaming hardware industry, the appearance of final packaging and signed hardware components provides concrete evidence that the project is on track for its upcoming launch.
