A new quality-of-life patch for The Legend of Zelda: Spirit Tracks significantly reworks one of the most divisive Zelda entries on Nintendo DS. The hack merges the QoL Hack by d0k3 with the D-Pad Patch by Greiga Master and StraDaMa, aiming to modernize controls and streamline gameplay.
The biggest change is full D-Pad support, allowing Link to move and perform actions using buttons instead of the stylus. Microphone-heavy mechanics are also addressed, with L/R buttons simulating mic input, making sections like the Spirit Flute far more comfortable to play. Train travel has been sped up through faster base speeds and an optional Boost Mode, cutting down on downtime.
The patch is provided as BPS files for both USA and European versions of the game and is designed to work on emulators and original hardware, with the exception of DSTT flashcards due to save corruption issues. For players who have always liked Spirit Tracks in theory but struggled with its controls, this hack makes revisiting it much more appealing.

Looks cool to try!
But I don’t mind the touch controls that much.
To me it’s the intended way to play the game, I also play Skyward Sword HD with motion controls.
