Zaparoo Core v2.9.0 is now available, delivering a solid mix of usability improvements, platform integrations, and reliability fixes. This release focuses on polishing everyday use while expanding support for popular frontends and setups.

One of the biggest changes is a revamped TUI, now featuring theme support, an on-screen keyboard, and clearer settings navigation. Kodi integration has also been added, allowing Kodi launchers to run on Steam-based platforms and making media playback easier to integrate alongside games.

On the frontend side, LaunchBox sees improvements to platform discovery and merged game handling, while Batocera gains automatic ROM path discovery and smoother game exiting. Under the hood, the PN532 driver has been updated for more reliable NFC scanning and tag writing, and custom launchers now include additional configuration options for more flexible setups.

Overall, v2.9.0 is a refinement-focused release that makes Zaparoo more flexible, more reliable, and easier to use across a wide range of systems.
