I’ve been working on a small side project for MiSTer users, and it’s finally ready for a first public release.
MiSTer Companion v1.0.0 is a lightweight Windows GUI tool I built to make managing a MiSTer FPGA system a bit easier, especially for newer users who prefer a simple interface instead of doing everything manually.
With it, you can:
- Save and switch between multiple MiSTer devices
- Monitor storage usage with clear visual indicators
- Install and run update_all with live output
- Enable SMB and open the MiSTer share directly in Windows Explorer
- Reboot your MiSTer remotely
It requires MiSTerFusion and an active internet connection on the MiSTer for update_all and downloads.
Even though this is posted on Metal Game Solid, MiSTer Companion is my own personal project and is not affiliated with or officially connected to Metal Game Solid.
