Retroid has officially launched the Retroid Pocket Classic 6 SG, a Mega Drive–inspired variant of its vertical Android handheld. The announcement was made via the company’s official X account on August 6, confirming that the unit is now available for purchase.
Styled after the iconic 6-button Mega Drive controller, the Classic 6 SG features a black shell, gray X/Y/Z buttons, and a signature blue Start button. Internally, it packs the same hardware as the standard Classic 6, including a Snapdragon G1 Gen 2 chip, a 3.92″ AMOLED display, and Android 14.
This SG edition is available exclusively in the 6 GB / 128 GB configuration and is priced at $129 via the official Retroid store.
Retro handheld fans looking for a Mega Drive–themed portable with modern power may want to act fast as limited stock is expected.
too bad they didn’t also add the mega drive style dpad like the anbernic sega style handheld had.
