RetroBat 7.3 Brings Major Emulator Updates and Windows Game Integration

RetroBat 7.3 was officially released on July 27, 2025, and introduces one of the most feature-rich updates to date. Key highlights include major emulator core updates, expanded support for Windows-based games, and improved controller configuration options.

New Systems and Game Services

Support has been added for Chihiro (via both old and new CXBX), Triforce, and Namco 2×6 systems. RetroBat now also detects and auto-adds games from services like Steam, Epic Games, Amazon Games, EA Games, and GOG, creating shortcuts at startup.

Emulator and Core Updates

Several cores and emulators received updates:

  • Dolphin bumped to 2506a
  • PCSX2 updated to the stable 2.4 release
  • MAME updated to version 0.278
  • Other updates include Ymir, Kronos, Mupen64, FCEUmm, and more

Fixes and Enhancements

The update resolves various issues across systems:

  • Fixes for bezels in AZAHAR and BizHawk
  • Improved gun input mappings for Chihiro, Model 2, and Libretro
  • Better save path handling in Dolphin and Libretro
  • VPinball and Ryujinx bug fixes

New Features

New quality-of-life features include:

  • Save syncing between Dolphin standalone and Libretro cores
  • Turbo mode for GBA in BizHawk
  • New controller layout options for Mega Drive and Ymir
  • RetroAchievements support added to Libretro-Dolphin

Looking Ahead

RetroBat 7.3 also introduces a new update system that will go live with the next version. User-created tattoo files have been reorganized, and updates to SDL2 and French translations were included.
