Following yesterday’s coverage of SNES competition cartridges becoming playable on MiSTer FPGA after a recent core update, there is already another notable development worth highlighting.
Developer Terminator2k2 has ported the updated MiSTer competition-cartridge support directly to the Analogue Pocket as a standalone core.
This means cartridges like Nintendo Campus Challenge and other event-only releases can now run on the Pocket. Much like the MiSTer update, this focuses on proper handling of the unique mapper and timing behavior used by these competition carts.
Together, these updates significantly improve preservation and accessibility for a very niche but historically important corner of the SNES library.
