A new game enters the BoogerVault™

An arcade game, recently preserved by the MAME project, is also getting an FPGA Gaming makeover. We’re seeing the first signs of life from an FPGA core for the obscure SEGA/Coreland title, 119, a project that was started over the weekend by developer Boogermann.

He’s already got some graphics showing up, but there’s still a lot of work ahead. Boogermann gave a big thanks to David Haywood for having the game documented, which no doubt helped kickstart the process.

This means we can expect the game to make its way to devices like the Analogue Pocket and the MiSTer FPGA.

Having a quick peek at System 16, we can see it lists 119 as a game on the SEGA system 2 hardware.
