A fresh MiSTer Main update has dropped, bringing some exciting improvements across multiple cores and system-level features. Among the highlights is support for TG-16 CD+G, thanks to the work of David Shadoff. A dedicated TG16 core update is expected to roll out tomorrow to fully enable CD+G playback.
This update doesn’t stop there. The PCE-CD core also sees various CD fixes and support for CD+G discs, making it a good time to revisit your library. Meanwhile, C64 fans will appreciate added support for Easyflash writes, alongside other system refinements.
Other notable changes include:
- Saturn fixes improving stability
- ao486: Added ATA-1 Identify Drive word updates for BIOS compatibility
- Apple II: New DSK read/write support
- OSD improvements, including better scrolling and BT pair prohibitions in remap menus
- Video tweaks with chroma subcarrier support over VGA
With these updates, MiSTer continues to solidify itself as the go-to platform for retro gaming. Make sure to update your Main build and keep an eye out for the TG16 core update scheduled for release tomorrow.
