You can’t talk about classic arcade shooters without mentioning R-Type. This legendary horizontal shoot ’em up (shmup) didn’t just join the genre, it helped define it. After its arcade debut, the game was ported to nearly every computer and console imaginable, and it went on to spawn a long line of sequels and spin-offs.
Now, a new generation is getting a chance to experience a fan favorite. On November 20th, R-Type Delta: HD Boosted will blast its way onto all major consoles and Steam. The updated game is looking great, ready to bring this franchise classic to the modern era with a fresh coat of paint.
