Dragon Ball Z: Budokai HD Gets a Fan-Made PC Recompilation

Games

A surprising new community project has surfaced for fans of classic Dragon Ball fighters. A developer known as WistfulHopes has released a fan-made recompilation of Dragon Ball Z: Budokai HD Collection, bringing the Xbox 360 version of Budokai 1 HD to PC in native form.

The project, titled “Dragon Ball Z Budokai HD Recompiled,” rebuilds the game using the ReXGlue SDK. Instead of emulation, this approach recompiles the original game code to run natively on modern systems. That means no Xenia or console overhead, just a straight PC build compiled through CMake, provided you supply your own game assets.
