Madbricks’ upcoming brawler Mexican Ninja has dropped a free demo on Steam, giving players a first look at its loud, colourful, and unapologetically over-the-top world. Set in Nuevo Tokyo, a chaotic fusion of Japanese and Mexican culture ruled by the criminal “Narkuzas”, the game blends comic-book visuals with fast-paced brawling and roguelike progression.
The demo doesn’t reveal too much but offers a solid glimpse into what’s coming. It features a single playable stage and a mini-boss encounter, teasing the game’s tone, style, and the foundations of its upgrade system, the “Way of the Donkey”. The city pulses with neon energy, backed by a soundtrack that fuses urban grit with martial flair, giving the world its own distinct identity.
What stands out most is the atmosphere, equal parts satire and action, and the sense that there’s more beneath the surface than your typical beat-’em-up. Mexican Ninja is shaping up to be both stylish and mechanically deep without spoiling its secrets too early.
The full release is planned for early 2026, but you can already step into Nuevo Tokyo and try the demo on Steam.

Very modern, but looks to be a promising beatemup!
