Great news for retro gaming fans! The long-lost NES port of Soldam, a charming puzzle game from Jaleco, is getting a physical release.
Originally an arcade hit in 1992, with a Game Boy version following in 1993, the NES edition was announced but never released… until now. Thanks to the efforts of Broke Studio, their Homebrew Factory platform, and a partnership with City Connection, this unreleased prototype has been resurrected.
The new physical cartridge is set for a September 15th release and will feature a full English translation, 3 game modes, and both 1- and 2-player options.
If you’re also a modern gamer, remember that the game’s legacy lives on in the 2017 remake Soldam: Drop, Connect, Erase on Nintendo Switch and PS4, as well as an Arcade Archives re-release of the original game.
