After years of developing the critically acclaimed 2D Metroidvania, Chasm, indie studio Bit Kid, Inc. has announced its next project, WOLFHOUND. While Chasm was lauded for its hand-crafted worlds, WOLFHOUND looks to push the Metroidvania genre even further with a different setting and mechanics.
WOLFHOUND is a sci-fi WWII Metroidvania where players take on the role of Capt. Chuck “WOLFHOUND” Rossetti, a one-man army. Deployed to a mysterious Axis base in the Bermuda Triangle, players will battle grotesque creations like mutant insects and zombies. The game features authentic pixel art and an upgradable jetpack to explore the seamless, interconnected island. Armed with a variety of weapons, from conventional firearms to railguns and flamethrowers, players can expect a thrilling, retro-inspired adventure.
WOLFHOUND is planned for release on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, and Steam for PC. There is currently no official release date. You can find more by visiting the the games official website.
