Castlevania: Eternity of Sorrow is a full game romhack that acts as a direct sequel to the bad ending of Castlevania: Dawn of Sorrow. Created by WetBandAid (feels), the project introduces a new story, a redesigned castle, modified tilesets, and optional but very challenging new magic seals.
The narrative follows Soma Cruz as he fights through the afterlife in search of a way back to the living world. While some early areas remain closer to the original layout, later sections show more significant changes as the creator became more familiar with the modding tools.
The hack is available in two versions, one with touch screen support and one that removes the need for touch input entirely. Patching is done via xdeltaUI and must be applied to a clean ROM. A major early bug has already been fixed, and while a few minor issues remain, the main experience is fully playable.
