Marc Max has rolled out a fresh update for Mega Man World 5 DX and Mole Mania DX, adding Super Game Boy–style borders alongside Game Boy Color behavior in supported emulators.
The update focuses on making these DX conversions feel more authentic on modern setups that emulate Super Game Boy features, bringing richer borders, palettes, and presentation touches that better reflect how these games could have looked on original Nintendo hardware. For fans who enjoy playing enhanced Game Boy titles on FPGA, emulation, or hybrid setups, this is a nice step toward tighter accuracy and polish.
As with Marc’s previous DX projects, the goal isn’t to reinvent the games, but to respectfully expand them, keeping the original feel intact while unlocking visual features that were either unused or impossible at the time.
