Futurama: Hit & Run’ Mod Arrives
Remember The Simpsons: Hit & Run? I always used to say it was like a ‘kiddies’ GTA‘ game. I always used to wish that we got a Futurama version of the game… Well, now we do, and you can play the demo right now.
Futurama: Hit & Run is a comprehensive total conversion mod for the popular game, The Simpsons: Hit & Run. The project’s ambition is to completely immerse players in the world of Futurama, mimicking the original game’s mechanics as if it were an official, ground-up expansion pack.
The mod features entirely new 3D models built from scratch to faithfully recreate the Futurama universe.
Demo Content Snapshot
The current demo offers a significant amount of content for fans to explore, including:
- Story Missions: Four core missions plus one bonus mission.
- Races: One wager race and three street races.
- Customisation: Four new costumes and six vehicles.
- Collectibles: Nine gags (plus one secret gag) and 25 wasps.
- Sound: Custom music tracks.
- Map: A custom-built map covering approximately a quarter of New New York (NNY).
A Note on Voice Acting
This demo temporarily uses AI-generated dialogue as placeholders. This is due to the unavailability of the original voice actors during the demo phase.
The creators confirm that these synthetic voices are purely for demonstration. Professional voice artists have been engaged, and their official recordings will replace the placeholder audio in a future update.
