Sonic fans can now experience an enhanced take on Sonic’s 8-bit debut with Sonic the Hedgehog SMS – NC Revision by Ninjacat25. This improvement hack brings new life to the Master System classic with enhanced shading, added slopes, redesigned zones, and expressive sprite work for both Sonic and Dr. Eggman.
The update introduces a new palette for Bridge Zone, graphical tweaks across multiple stages, and even an optional version that restores Labyrinth Zone’s water. Jungle Zone and Scrap Brain Zone now feature extra background details and reworked level layouts, while Chaos Emerald locations have been adjusted for a smoother progression.
