Originally released only in Japan in 2000, this lighthearted KOF spin-off blends board game elements with the series’ trademark humor. Players roll dice, earn coins, and compete in mini-games featuring familiar faces like Athena, Vanessa, and K’. It’s packed with jokes, references, and playful dialogue that fans can now fully enjoy for the first time.

The translation covers all text and menus, making the game entirely playable in English. While a few lines still invite polishing for hardcore KOF fans, this release already brings a long-forgotten Neo Geo Pocket title back into the spotlight.

You can patch your own copy of the original King of Fighters: Battle de Paradise (Japan) ROM using the online patcher (or download the offline patch) here.

  1. What would be the best way to play this?
Unless you have a NGPC flashcart for use with the Pocket’s NGPC core, all other cores have some issues I think?
Or is there a good MiSTer or Pocket core for use with ROMs?
    Otherwise likely RetroArch?
