After claiming Perils of Darkness would be his final Zelda 1 hack, creator The3Dude has returned with one last surprise. The Legend of Zelda: Mirror of Worlds is a massive NES overhaul created through advanced ASM hacking, merging both quests into a single, expanded adventure.
The Recorder has been transformed into the new Mirror of Worlds item, unlocking unique mechanics and gameplay never before seen in a Zelda 1 hack. Players can expect new dungeons, Metroidvania-style progression, visual upgrades, Heart Pieces, and three difficulty modes for all skill levels.
The latest version, v1.5, polishes balance and fixes remaining bugs, marking what The3Dude calls his true magnum opus, and possibly the most ambitious Zelda 1 hack ever made.
