Affordable PS1 Memory Cards Revealed for SuperStation

Misc

Taki Udon has shared a first look at new PS1 memory card prototypes designed for the upcoming SuperStation. Priced at around $10 each, these cards are fully functional and already performing well in testing.

The designs feature a sleek modern look with small LCD screens and come in multiple translucent colors, echoing the classic PlayStation accessories of the late 90s. Each card also includes what appears to be an SD card slot, suggesting expandable storage or data transfer capabilities.

This could make them functionally similar to modern replacements like the Bitfunx SD memory card adapters, offering far more flexibility than traditional PS1 memory cards.

These new cards are being developed specifically for the SuperStation, Taki Udon’s upcoming FPGA-based console inspired by the original PlayStation hardware, and they’re shaping up to be an affordable and practical addition to its growing accessory lineup.

  1. I completely missed this news…Cool for people that don’t have a modern solution!
But to be honest…this seems like quite a rip-off design wise from 8Bitmods’ Memcard Pro.
BitFunx itself is already a copy-machine
