ETH2SP1 Brings Broadband Adapter Functionality to the GameCube

GameCube

Pre-orders are now live for ETH2SP1, a new Ethernet adapter designed as an alternative to the original Broadband Adapter for the Nintendo GameCube. Shipping is expected to begin in early March.

ETH2SP1 connects via the console’s Serial Port 1 and works in combination with Swiss to emulate Broadband Adapter functionality in games that support it. This offers a modern, accessible option for users who want network features without tracking down the increasingly rare original hardware.

The adapter targets homebrew users looking to expand their GameCube setup, particularly those already using Swiss for advanced loading and configuration. Pre-orders are available now through 8BitMods, marking another practical hardware solution for the GameCube scene.
