Master Linkuei has revealed their latest project, and this time they are bringing a classic arcade experience home to the Mega Drive. This is the Taito classic, “Crime City,” a side-scrolling run-and-gun action game similar to Rolling Thunder.
The game has a great vibe and an even better soundtrack. Seriously, the soundtrack is one of the best we’ve ever heard. The levels and the boss fights are epic. You’ll feel like you’re in a cross between Miami Vice and an 80s action movie, all while experiencing something called “the Miami Sound Machine.”
If you’re wondering where you’ve heard the name Master Linkuei before, it’s likely due to some of their previous projects, of which our favourite is Hayato’s Journey. They’ve released a number of SEGA Mega Drive/Genesis projects; you can find them on Master Linkuei’s Itch.io page.
