Indie team Aeriform is working on The Ark, a point & click science fiction horror adventure for the SEGA Mega Drive. Inspired by the Alien universe, the game mixes a classic third-person point & click style with first-person narrative sequences to heighten tension and claustrophobia.
The story follows the crew of the Y.C.V. ECHO and the D.S.E.V. LEVENE, who are forced to work together after encountering a colossal space-faring entity in the Epsilon Eridani system. What begins as a corporate-driven investigation soon spirals into unimaginable horror as the true purpose of the alien vessel is revealed.
Currently, the first narrative segment is complete and available as a demo ROM for emulators or original hardware. The point & click adventure section is still in early prototyping, but the team plans to expand this vertical slice into a full game.
